National Health Day Canada

In 2005, Ottawa Chiropractor and Health & Wellness Expert Dr. John Zielonka founded National Health Day in Canada. What originally began as a holiday between New Year’s and Easter was really intended to have Canadians do 2 things; 1) learn the actual definition of the word health and 2) actually do something healthy in the realization that each individual is ultimately responsible for their own health.

The Mayor of Ottawa has proclaimed National Health Day each and every year since its inception. Each year Dr. Zielonka writes to the Prime Minister, Minister of Health, every Member of Parliament and has appeared on national television and other media coverage. The public is still invited to visit Dr. Zielonka’s website at www.excellenceinhealth.com to print their doctor’s note giving them the day off, to learn more about National Health Day and to discover what they can do to achieve a lifetime of health.

Please join us in celebrating National Health Day and spreading the word of true health.
